God’s Written Words Above Everything Else

Your Words and your message! All we know of God in clarity are in words; they supersede our experiences, and His life is communicated in words

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 6: 63 KJV

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

John 6: 63 NIV

The angel thus told peter

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

Acts 5: 20 KJV

“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”

Acts 5: 20 NIV

There are words of this life, specific words, he heard same instructions had been given to Cornelius.

And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Acts 10: 22 KJV

Words of thee!

They said, “We were sent by Cornelius, a Roman officer. He is a devout and God-fearing man, well respected by all the Jews. A holy angel instructed him to summon you to his house so that he can hear your message.”

Acts 10: 22 NLT

Paul teaches Timothy the imperative of seeing and using soundness of words.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:13 KJV

Form of words!

What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1: 13 NIV

He had been told earlier to beware of men who don’t use wholesome words in teaching.

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

1 Timothy 6:3 KJV

This means healthy words; our use of words are very critical. A bible teacher must pick his words and carefully so.

Don’t for example denigrate (criticize unfairly) or belittle morals because you want to teach righteousness through faith.

Don’t speak lightly of fasting because you want to say all things are ours in Christ.

Let your words be sound! And Healthy!

Some “grace message wannabes” and “some unfurnished preachers of finished works” have done more damage with their words. Such stupid words like “no matter what you do you are saved” is very silly.

No where will you find that in scriptures; they are your own infantile words.

I once heard someone say “I am born of the word, oh, I am the word of God too” He got ahead of himself.

My child is not me; that’s basic.

It’s not wise to learn the word in a way and want to put it out in a unique way; it’s just to wow men.

Someone said “Jesus is the father,” so I asked her “so every time He spoke to the Father, He was soliloquizing, and when He said I go to my father, he meant I go to me, or my God  my God, why have thou forsaken me, he meant what?” She went quiet.

Stop using your spiritually juvenile mind to explain scriptures written in words of soberness.

But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

Acts 26:25 KJV

“I am not insane, most excellent Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable.

Acts 26: 25 NIV

But Paul replied, “I am not insane, Most Excellent Festus. What I am saying is the sober truth.

Acts 26: 25 NLT

Don’t confuse people, the message requires no human addition.

You can explain why works don’t save in such a way the hearer wants to do Good works; that’s being sound.

You can explain how we have much power in Christ and the hearer wants to pray much more.

You need not sidestep a scriptural fact to pass across what delights you more, be sound in your words.

Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Titus 2:8 KJV

and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

Titus 2: 8 NIV

Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

Titus 2: 8 NLT

Hence Paul requires those who teach need not just have knowledge, a tablet, Devices, Greek and Hebrew concordances etc. He must be able to teach, this in original words means skilled via training to teach; he must not be a novice.

[2] A bishop then must be…apt to teach;

[6] Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

1 Timothy 3:2,6 KJV

Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil.

1 Timothy 3:2, 6 NIV

So a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.

A church leader must not be a new believer, because he might become proud, and the devil would cause him to fall.

1 Timothy 3:2, 6 NLT

Social media space must not be our excuse to load people with rubbish. That aside, no one who sincerely learns from me uses words anyhow, preaches anything at any time or posts as he or she just deems fit.

I teach folks to speak in seasoned ways and at the right time too.

You want to preach?

Check your words and ensure they are seasoned!

Why not repeat exactly what and how you learnt rather than send many more into spiritual psychiatry!

And must you teach? Are you seasoned? Must you post?

Don’t say what scriptures don’t say, as much as lies in your power stick with words used as written.

Hope this blessed you

Let me know.
