What is the will of God today? This is a question that every believer should have asked themselves before today and should know the answer by now, but unfortunately some Christians don’t know. But again let’s ask ourselves.
What is the will of God today? It’s His will 2000 years ago. Jesus answered this when his disciples brought him food even though He was hungry, Jesus said unto them:
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
John 4: 34 NIV
Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.
John 4: 34 NLT
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.
John 4: 34 ESV
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
John 4: 34 NKJV
His will is far beyond our delight, our daily needs, including food. God’s will has never changed! And will never change! It’s not the world’s economic revolution or political power. No, it’s NOT! If it were, Jesus would have overthrown Herod, Pilate, etc. But He didn’t!

He didn’t come for their seats; His kingdom is in the hearts of men and so Paul was clear when he asked that we prayed for kings and rulers.
1- I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people
2- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2 NIV
1- I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
2- Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2 NLT
1- First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
2- for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2 ESV
1- Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2- for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2 NKJV
This is the focal reason:
who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 NIV
who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 NLT
who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 ESV
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 KJV
All men, our friends, family, office colleagues, neighbours, etc. This should dominate our conversations and our gist.
Some have said “how do I share the gospel?” I usually ask them “how do you start gist in class, office, with neighbours?”
You know how to preach! You aren’t just ready to!
Today! Yes this day!
Start a gist around and about salvation with a Facebook friend, office colleague or classmate who is yet to believe.
You have a responsibility to, you have an obligation to, you have been called to.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
2 Corinthians 5:18 NIV
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
2 Corinthians 5:18 NLT
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:18 ESV
So Do!
Do it!
Do it Now!
Do it Today!
I CALL YOU BLESSED!!
JESUS IS LORD AND WE WIN ALWAYS BY KEEPING HIS WORD AND DOING HIS BIDDING!
